F.A.Q.

General Information

We currently offer three sizes of boards: small, medium and large. Our boards are typically meant to be an hor d'oeuvre and will feed groups accordingly. Depending on appetites, we estimate that a small board is approximately enough for 1-2 people, medium boards approximately 4 - 6 people and large boards for approximately 8 - 14 people. All boards are served on wooden trays with clear lids made from recycled materials. Crackers are offered separately, and a gluten free option is available.

There is a $50 order minimum for all deliveries.

Ingredients + Seasonality + Vendors

Our boards always focus on local, seasonal and organic ingredients whenever possible. We love to support our local farms, farmers and makers whenever we can. However, living in the Rocky Mountains we have a relatively short season to procure local produce. Our boards change with the seasons so you will not find the same items on a board in August as in February.

Cheese + Charcuterie boards come with a variety of cheeses, charcuterie (if applicable), fresh +/or dried fruit, nuts, briney things and sometimes pickled things, as well as a few other surprises. Crackers are sold separately.

Crudités boards come with a variety of vegetables + hummus. Custom dips can be special ordered for an additional fee. Please include any special requests in the notes section on the order page.

We are always on a mission looking for local vendors to support. If you know of a local maker that would be a good fit with Boards + Baskets, please send them our way!

Dietary Restrictions + Allergy Disclaimer + Waiver

We are more than happy to take requests for any dietary restrictions or allergies (please submit in “Order Notes”). We will confirm whether or not we are able to accommodate. Please keep in mind that we are not in an allergen free kitchen and cross contamination may happen. Please be aware that our food may come in contact with common allergens. Our facilities process and regularly use the following allergens: dairy, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts as well as others. We will do our best to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions on a case by case basis, but our products are not intended for those with severe allergies.

Storage + Perishability

We will provide an approximate delivery window for your order. It is up to the client to maintain freshness once received. All boards should be put in the fridge immediately until intended to serve. We do recommend that you take your board out of the fridge approximately one hour before serving for best flavor. Boards are best eaten the day of, but can also be refrigerated overnight and served the next day. Some vegetables on the crudités board will dry out. If you need to refrigerate a crudités board, we recommend covering the vegetables with a damp paper towel.

We recommend that at all times you follow the USDA’s instructions on food storage and safe food handling, which can be found here: http://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/food-safety-education/get-answers/food-safety-fact-sheets/safe-food-handling/keep-food-safe-food-safety-basics/ct_index. Failure to follow safe food handling practices and temperature recommendations may increase the risk of food-borne illness.
